Week 3: drag
After week three's balloon rocket experiment we trailed with paper on the side. It traveled further than test trial 2. The movement of test 1 was that it didn't spin and it acted as a stabilizer. I wonder why it acted as a stabilizer. Trial 2 with paper on the front, it didn't travel very far and it got stuck. The movement of the paper on the front was that it stayed still as it deflated. I could hear the paper flapping I wonder why it didn't travel further that test trial 1.

Science journal

Week 1: Starting to think about science: Gathering and Interpreting Data.
Today we made slime and poured it all over Mr Anderson because our learning this term is science. I have placed myself on this science experiment rubric as prestructural because I didn't contribute I just watched.

Week 2: Balloon Rocket experiment
After today's balloon rocket experiment with Thomas, Solomon and I, my observations were unistructural because I had one or two ideas about the balloon rocket experiment.

Inquiry

At the start of the term, I thought my learning to be a responsible citizen was multistructural because I was picking up rubbish and turning up for my radio DJ duty. Now I feel like I'm relational because I can do my pack up job (which is recycling) everyday.  I can care for people and put my hand up for wet day and looking out for the community.

My social science project is to teach people football skills. This helped me to be a responsible citizen because I helped other people do better football skills.  My challenge was to get them settled but we tried to saying tahi, rua, toru, wha and that worked.

Overall I feel that it went really well, the kids behaved really well.

Responsible citizen

Are you a responsible citizen?
A responsible citizen has an important role to play in making our community safe and clean. One of the qualities of being a responsible citizen is that they follow rules and laws. If this quality was missing people would get hurt, the world would be a dangerous place to live, people would lose money and people would be bullies.
Someone that I’ve noticed doing these things is Ethan because he does the right things and follows all the rules and laws.

Another important quality of being a responsible citizen is contributing. If this quality was missing people would be lonely. People wouldn't have any friends, so this quality is important because the community would be safer and cleaner. Someone I noticed doing these is Thomas because he picks up lots of rubbish and looks after the environment.

In conclusion the community would be safer, because just a little bit of help to the community will keep us safe because it will keep the dogs safe from the rubbish. So step up and be a responsible citizen.

Hard out sprinting

Hard out sprinting
It’s a hot and sweaty summer Tuesday afternoon at Papanui Toc h athletes club. I get some rest before I go. I warm up and do some stretching to get my body ready to go. Zoom! There I go. My heart pumps, my spine tingles, I sprint, stride, everything. The sweatier I get the more I like it because I like getting fitter than I already am.
